The Sunbury Amateur Swimming Club Inc. (SASC) home base is the Sunbury Aquatic & Leisure Centre, located at 20 Ligar Street, Sunbury. The club dates back to the early 1960’s when it was founded by the local community. The founding members were instrumental in the establishment and approval of construction of the Olympic outdoor pool. Since then the club has been closely aligned with the pool management, local council and its councillors. In the earlier years, the club operated the learn-to-swim and numerous life savings courses. Over the years there have been many parents who committed exceptionally hard to the ongoing success of the club which led to the establishment of life members which we continue to support and honour. Over more recent years the Sunbury Swimming Pool evolved to the Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre which now offers a host of community activities including a 25m indoor pool.
